NBA Futures

Alright we got a nice tasty NBA season on deck. Which means we have entered the greatest time of the year.. overlaps of nba , nhl, nfl and college sports. all the while a little gross mlb world series in the mix.

Bartender! give me futures.

I have a few inclinations on the year - namely betting against the thunder. I can see a world where SGA doesnt get those foul calls, a few injuries derailing them, and a rocky start to a hangover season.

So why not start with a fun sprinkle on the thunder not making the playoffs. +3000 on Draftkings. This immediately caught my eyes - and of course i developed the narrative to justify it.

The other inkling is of course a successful season for my new york knicks. I love everything about it. call me homer cause this is my odyssey. They have 1 full year under their belt. fully healthy, fully motivated - a coach that wont stubbornly run them to the ground - and the depth to back up that philosophy. Mike Brown is going to let that offense run and they have plenty of options between brunson, bridges, og, kat, deuce, and clarkson. Im excited for a coach whose going to play fast. A coach whose going to have offense play calls - not just a brunson bail out plan with 9 seconds left in the clock. Im excited they get to shed this defensive identity that they had under thibs. It becomes this de facto label thats got to be an annoying talking point night after night. like a poison eating you up from inside.
