Alright Mets fans, last night sucked. Our bats were quiet for most of the night until a comeback attempt in the 8th that fell two runs short. Wheeler did not have it giving up 12 hits and 5 runs in 5 innings. Ronald Acuna-matata hit another bomb, his 34th, but it was bullshit because Wheeler threw a dime on the outside corner in a 2-2 count two pitches before the moonshot. But I digress.
It's time to put last night's result behind us. It's never easy walking into T̶u̶r̶n̶e̶r̶ ̶F̶i̶e̶l̶d̶ SunTrust Park and I'm sure the Braves dugout was ready to play spoiler to our recent 15 minutes of fame. Good for them. They took game one. But tonight we need to come together and punch back and let the Braves, nay the division, nay the WORLD know that we are here to play elite baseball every night until November. We've got Matz against Kuechel tonight and Stroman against Teheran tomorrow. Yeah, on paper, last night was our most favorable matchup. But to be the best you have to beat the best and we are the best so we will be the best. Lets fucking hit and knock these mother fuckers around early and often.
